Research and Planning

The scope of the project required an analysis of airport planning solutions based on RAC, IATA, and ICAO regulations to facilitate the transition of operations at these airports and thereby meet projected demand over a 30-year horizon.

The main activities were:

  • Analysis of new procedures and operational management.
  • Functional Analysis of ICAO Regulations - RAC.
  • Socioeconomic Study and Prognosis Analysis.
  • Calculation of Required Areas on the Airside (Runways, Aprons, and Taxiways).
  • Calculation of Required Land Area on the Land Side (Passenger Terminal and Support Buildings).
  • Airport and Urban Development Alternatives.
  • General Architectural and Urban Design Proposal.

The Master Plan called for the development of construction projects covering an area of approximately 50,000 m² and the planning of airside improvements exceeding 300,000 m², in line with the ICAO operational code migration and the projected future demand for each airport.
